My Approach
Life is messy. Therapy should feel safe, challenging, and sometimes even fun with a dose of good humor. Let's sort out the messy parts together. I create a warm, compassionate space for clients to look at their patterns and painful memories while also celebrating their wins and joyful moments. This is life, the mud and the flower that blooms from it. I offer a client-centered, systemic approach, and work well with high functioning anxiety, people with perfectionistic patterns and those who live or desire to live counter-culturally. I have a special interest in working with LGBTQIA individuals and their relationships and am a queer-identified therapist. I am also trained in EMDR, a highly effective modality for treating past trauma, PTSD, and chronic mental health concerns.
